2023-09-12 - The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU) recently announced that College of Southern Idaho (CSI) Dean of Enrollment Services Monze Stark-Magana has been named as a fellow in HACU’s upcoming Leadership Academy/La Academia de Liderazgo. Stark-Magana joins 49 other fellows from across the nation who were announced on Monday, September 11, as participants in the one-year fellowship which is slated to begin in October. The Leadership Academy is designed to help fellows prepare for leadership roles in institutions of higher education, with a particular emphasis on Hispanic Serving Institutions.
2023-07-12 - Gilbert’s Pantry, the College of Southern Idaho’s (CSI) food assistance service, has partnered with the Glanbia Cheese Marketplace to receive donations of two-pound blocks of cheese on an ongoing basis. General education courses expose all College of Southern Idaho students, regardless of major, to a range of disciplines outside their specific area of study. 2023-02-02 - The College of Southern Idaho Office on Aging is excited to announce the resumption of weekend meal service for 175 seniors living in Blaine, Cassia, Gooding, Jerome, Minidoka, and Twin Fall counties. The resumption of service is thanks to a $32,760 donation from St. Luke’s and SelectHealth in support of the home-delivered meals program. The funds will be used to provide weekend meals for vulnerable seniors living in the Magic Valley.

This program is designed for students in 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade who are interested in learning about various STEAM topics (science, technology, engineering, art, and math) in a fun, engaging environment. Participants are invited to the museum for an evening packed with science workshops, a planetarium show, a trip to the observatory, and many other fun activities.

The new machine will replace the Radiologic Technology Program’s old 1979 GE Mobile X-Ray machine.
2019-02-11 - Complete College America (CCA) is a nonprofit focused on helping college students complete college with credentials or a degree. CSI has participated in Complete College America and Complete College Idaho initiatives since 2012 and has crafted many successful initiatives including remediation reform, developing guided pathways, and leveraging education and training with business and industry partners. Recently, CCA created a new initiative titled Momentum Pathways Scale Project. The project focuses on boosting college attainment by developing clear pathways and implementing evidence-based strategies to help college students meet key, first-year benchmarks. Data shows that students who reach these important benchmarks are more likely to succeed.
2018-01-05 - This week, CSI crossed a major milestone with the launch of a redesigned public website, secure student portal, secure employee portal, and modern Identity Management system. With the launch of these systems, CSI gains instant access to an entire suite of powerful applications via Microsoft Office 365 and other software tools.
