CSI to Receive Funding for CTE Programs

Twin Falls, ID The College of Southern Idaho (CSI) has been awarded funding for Career Technical Education (CTE) programs thanks to the Leading Idaho 2.0 grant from the Idaho Division of Career Technical Education (IDCTE). The funds will go toward the expansion and modernization of equipment and facilities in the dental assisting, digital media, and welding programs at CSI. 

“State funding for CTE programs, through the Leading Idaho Project, is an investment in our future workforce,” Dean of Career and Technical Education Barry Pate stated. “It’s a pathway to success in careers projected to surge over the next decade and will equip our programs and students with the technology they need to thrive in a high-demand, high skill industries.” 

In order for a program to be deemed eligible for the grant by IDCTE, it had to be ranked in the top 250 occupations according to regional and local workforce data, had to have over 100 current job openings, or had to have a projected growth rate of 25% or more.
