Campus Texting Policies

CSI is deploying text messaging to share timely and important messages related to student success. We encourage all students to opt-in and receive these messages.

Here's what you need to know to opt-in:

Service Description and Name

You can sign up to receive text messages from The College of Southern Idaho. Currently, this can occur in several ways:

  • You can fill out an interest card for CSI, and check the text messaging box
  • You can check the box on the CSI New Student Application or the Apply Idaho application indicating your preference to receive text messaging
  • You can text YES to (208) 423-1774.

Fee Disclosure

Message and data rates may apply when receiving text messages from The College of Southern Idaho. There is no fee assessed by CSI for text messaging, but you will be responsible for any message or data fees assessed by your cell phone carrier to receive or send us a text message.

Frequency

Message frequency will vary depending upon the academic calendar, but you can expect to receive no more than five messages per week at peak periods in the semester.

Customer Care Contact Information

If you are experiencing a problem with any CSI text message, you can reply with the keyword HELP for more assistance, or you can get help directly by emailing helpdesk@csi.edu or calling (208) 732 6311.
