Instructor Information

If you would like any of the CSI testing centers to proctor your exams, you have a couple of options.  Testing centers can proctor online tests or paper tests.  If you wish to have an online test proctored, complete and submit an Online Proctor Sheet.  If you have a paper test to be proctored, complete, and bring a Paper Proctor Sheet, along with the printed tests, to the testing center.  Remember that the testing centers are not able to copy tests for you.  It is your responsibility to provide the correct number of tests for each class.

Please be advised of the following guidelines. They are designed to assist the testing centers to help instructors and students successfully complete exams. In addition to these guidelines, please read the Instructor Policies and Procedures.

We do not allow textbooks, reference materials, or multiple pages of student notes in the testing centers.  If you are allowing access to multiple-page information (formulas, charts, etc.) on a test, please attach the information to the test to keep disruptions at a minimum.

Label your paper tests with the following information: (Tests will be returned to the instructor if this information is not included!)

  1. Instructor’s Name
  2. Course Name and Number
  3. Name of Test
  4. Line for Student’s Name
  5. Line for Date (if desired)

Tests are given out until 1 hour prior to closing.  Advise your students at the beginning of the semester about testing center requirements, locations, and hours. It would be advisable to include the information regarding testing centers in your class syllabus. Also, please strongly emphasize to your students that their CSI ID card is required in order to take any CSI course exams. Students will be turned away and not allowed to test without this card.

Please provide enough answer sheets and tests for your students. Scantron sheets may be purchased in the bookstore and charged to your department.

If you are teaching more than one class, you may consider using different colored paper for each test.

Our staff would appreciate any suggestions you can give to help the testing centers serve you better. You may call us at Ext. 6532, or e-mail Jeff Gourley, Testing Center Coordinator, at jgourley@csi.edu. We appreciate your support.
