First Time College Student

Students who have not attended college since high school graduation should follow these steps.

  1. Apply for Admission
  2. Submit Placement Scores for English and Math
    • Applicants can take the CSI Placement Tests. Students may meet this requirement with transfer credits from another institution through Dual Credit or ACT or SAT scores that are no more than 3 years old. CSI accepts ACT or SAT scores sent directly from the testing service or reported on the official high school transcript.
  3. Submit Your Official High School or GED Transcript
    • Upon graduation, submit a final transcript confirming graduation and showing all academic course work.
  4. Schedule An Appointment
    • Contact an adviser in the CSI Advising Center to select classes and sign up for new student orientation (S.O.A.R.).
