Admission Steps

Applying to this program is a separate application process from applying to the College or declaring a major.

To promote success on the certification/licensure examination(s), all Required Courses must be passed with a grade of C or better. Registration for PTAE courses is restricted to students within the major.

  1. Anatomy and Physiology 1
  2. Medical Terminology
  3. English Composition
  4. Mathematics 123 or higher

Application 2021:  

Application for the Fall 2020 ICPTAE program is now closed as of April 30, 2020,* and is no longer accepting applications for the fall 2020 semester.

The next application cycle will begin on March 29, 2021, for the fall 2021 cohort. If you are currently in a prerequisite or a required general education course, complete the course and then apply. This will allow your required courses to be included in the application.

This is a selective-entry program and the following numbers of students will comprise the new class:

  • College of Western Idaho (CWI) - 14 students;
  • Lewis-Clark State College (LCSC) - 6 students;
  • North Idaho College (NIC) - 10 students;
  • College of Southern Idaho (CSI) - 10 students.

 *CSI accepts cohorts every other year.

CSI 2021 Application cycle dates: March 29, 2021 - May 20, 2021.
