Once you start college or turn 18, your education records belong to you. That means your parents or anyone else cannot see your grades, class schedule, or other personal information unless you give permission. This is part of a federal privacy law called FERPA (Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act). If you want CSI to share your information with a parent, guardian, or someone else, you’ll need to fill out a consent form first.
If you have an IEP or 504 Plan in high school and you're taking dual credit college classes, you might still be able to get classroom accommodations, but the process is different at the college level.
Whether you're taking dual credit classes at your high school or online, your accommodations need to be reviewed and approved by CSI's Student Accessibility Services. This also applies if you're taking a class on the CSI campus or at a CSI extension center.
To get started, contact CSI Student Accessibility Services at 208-732-6260.
