Inclusive Teaching & Learning

We work hard at CSI to build an environment where all students feel respected, valued, and supported in their personal learning journey.  CSI's Teaching & Learning Center works with instructors to promote inclusivity in the following ways:

  • Training and 1:1 Consultations to Create Accessible Learning Environments: we help to promote critical thinking and perspective taking, encouraging instructors to consider multiple perspectives and engage critically with course content from a student view.  We know that instructors who embrace inclusivity can broaden horizons and promote empathy and understanding.

  • Curriculum Development Support: we foster a learning community as one significant opportunity to assist in the design of inclusive curricula that reflect diverse perspectives and experiences.  This learning community supports instructors in reviewing course content, selecting inclusive learning materials, and integrating important topics such as diversity and belonging into curriculum.
